Composite Geomembrane Combines a Barrier with Textile Protection
A composite geomembrane bonds a polymer membrane to one or two geotextile layers. The finished product can support handling, protection and waterproofing functions, but total mass alone does not define membrane thickness or performance.
Layer build
One fabric plus one membrane, two fabrics plus one membrane, or another reviewed construction.
Membrane
Polymer, nominal thickness, color and required barrier properties.
Geotextile
Polymer, woven or nonwoven type, unit mass and protective function.
Bonding
Bond strength, peel method and the intended installation detail.
Hydraulic requirement
Hydrostatic pressure or impermeability method when specified.
Seams and overlaps
Factory or field connection method depends on the construction and project detail.

Roll or Panel Planning Belongs in the Specification
Confirm unit dimensions, unit weight, core or pallet, wrapping, labels, lifting method, container type, loading quantity and destination. Fixed container quantities are not published because they change by configuration.
GENERAL INSTALLATION NOTES
Installation Scope Is Confirmed Separately
Plan the subgrade, direction of the textile face, overlaps, membrane connections and protective cover as one system. General installation guidance is available. Site support is confirmed separately by location and scope.

Does total mass prove the membrane thickness?
No. Request a layer-by-layer specification that states membrane thickness and geotextile mass separately.
Which side faces the subgrade?
That depends on the construction and project detail. Confirm the layer orientation before production and installation.
Can every structure follow GB/T 17642?
The applicable edition, layer construction, test methods and acceptance criteria must match the ordered product.
Can we request peel and hydrostatic test reports?
Yes, when those items are defined in the quotation and matched to the actual construction.
