WHAT IT IS

Drainage Geocomposites Need a Defined Load and Flow Condition

A geonet core creates an in-plane flow path. Bonded geotextile layers can add filtration and handling functions. Core thickness does not establish transmissivity on its own. The report must match the core, geotextile, normal pressure, hydraulic gradient, boundary condition and duration.

01

Core

Nominal thickness, rib geometry, polymer and mass.

02

Composite structure

Bare core, single-sided geotextile or double-sided geotextile.

03

Filter layer

Geotextile type, polymer, mass, AOS and hydraulic behavior.

04

Normal pressure

The design load applied during transmissivity testing.

05

Hydraulic gradient

The driving condition used for the requested flow value.

06

Boundary and duration

Hard or soft boundary, seating and test duration affect the result.

CONFIGURATION VARIABLES

Specify the Product Before Comparing the Price

A quotation becomes comparable only when the product, performance fields, dimensions, test scope and documents match.

  • Material and structure
  • Dimensions and tolerances
  • Required methods and acceptance values
  • Quantity, packing and destination

ORDER CONFIGURATION

Confirm the Build and Roll Format by Order

Send your target values or existing datasheet. Current dimensions and performance are confirmed against the specific configuration before quotation.

MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY EVIDENCE

Use Real Production and Testing Evidence for the Ordered Product

Factory and testing photographs support manufacturing capability. Product acceptance still depends on a TDS, batch CoA, inspection record or third-party report that matches the product, specification, batch and date.

STANDARDS, TESTS AND DOCUMENTS

Confirm the Method and Evidence Package by Order

01

Transmissivity

ASTM D4716 with the core, geotextile, pressure, gradient, boundary condition and duration recorded. No standalone flow number is published.

02

Filter properties

ASTM D4751 and D4491 may apply to the bonded geotextile.

03

Other basis

CJ/T 452 or another project method applies only when the product, edition and acceptance fields are named.

APPLICATION FIT

Match the Material to the Engineering Function

Landfill and leachate

The drainage layer must match the normal load, fluid, collection spacing and adjacent layers.

Retaining walls

Place the filter fabric toward soil and coordinate the drainage core with the base collector and outlet.

Tunnels and underground work

Waterproofing, protection and drainage details must follow the wall system.

Civil drainage

Subgrade, roof or structure drainage needs a defined load and outlet path.

QUOTE INPUTS

What We Need to Quote Drainage Geocomposites

Send what is available. A drawing, BOQ or existing TDS can replace part of this list; we will identify any missing fields before final pricing.

Send project details
  • Application and section drawing
  • Bare core or composite
  • Core thickness direction
  • Geotextile type and mass
  • Normal pressure
  • Hydraulic gradient and boundary
  • Required transmissivity and method
  • Dimensions, quantity and port

PACKING AND DELIVERY

Roll or Panel Planning Belongs in the Specification

Confirm unit dimensions, unit weight, core or pallet, wrapping, labels, lifting method, container type, loading quantity and destination. Fixed container quantities are not published because they change by configuration.

GENERAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Installation Scope Is Confirmed Separately

Filter fabric typically faces the soil or fines source. The core or board, overlaps, termination, collector pipe and outlet must follow the project wall or containment design. The representative visual is not a construction instruction. General guidance is available. Site support is confirmed separately.

FAQ

Common Procurement Questions

Can you quote from core thickness alone?

A budget direction may be possible, but product selection needs structure, pressure, gradient, boundary, flow requirement and filter layer.

Why is there no flow rate on the page?

Transmissivity changes with test conditions. A useful value must come from a report matched to the ordered configuration and project condition.

What is the difference between geonet and drainage geocomposite?

Geonet is the polymer core. A drainage geocomposite combines the core with one or more geotextile filter layers.

Which side faces the soil?

The geotextile filter layer generally faces the soil or fines source. Confirm the wall or liner detail before installation.
