WHAT IT IS
Geotextile Selection Starts with the Required Function
Geotextiles work as permeable layers. Nonwoven structures commonly support filtration, drainage and liner protection. Woven structures are often reviewed for separation and reinforcement. The final selection must match the soil, water flow, load and adjacent materials.
Function
Filtration, separation, protection, drainage support or reinforcement.
Polymer
PP or PET according to exposure, specification and availability.
Structure
Needle-punched nonwoven or woven construction.
Mechanical class
Tensile, puncture or CBR values must match the project method.
Hydraulic class
AOS, permeability or permittivity is matched to the soil and flow requirement.
UV exposure
Temporary exposure limits and any enhanced UV requirement need explicit confirmation.

CONFIGURATION VARIABLES
Specify the Product Before Comparing the Price
A quotation becomes comparable only when the product, performance fields, dimensions, test scope and documents match.
- Material and structure
- Dimensions and tolerances
- Required methods and acceptance values
- Quantity, packing and destination
ORDER CONFIGURATION
Confirm the Build and Roll Format by Order
Send your target values or existing datasheet. Current dimensions and performance are confirmed against the specific configuration before quotation.
Swipe to see the order details.
| Configuration field | Confirm for this order |
|---|---|
| Material and type | Final polymer and construction by order. |
| Unit mass | Mass does not establish performance class. |
| Widths | Roll length and unit weight by order. |
| Project properties | Method, class and acceptance values in the purchase specification. |

MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY EVIDENCE
Use Real Production and Testing Evidence for the Ordered Product
Factory and testing photographs support manufacturing capability. Product acceptance still depends on a TDS, batch CoA, inspection record or third-party report that matches the product, specification, batch and date.

Confirm the Method and Evidence Package by Order
Reference methods
ASTM D5261, D4595 or D4632, D6241, D4751 and D4491 as applicable.
GB references
GB/T 17638, 17639 or 17640 may form the project basis when the ordered product and current edition match.
Documents
Request a class-matched TDS, batch CoA and test report. Color, polymer, construction and unit mass must match the document.

APPLICATION FIT
Match the Material to the Engineering Function
Filtration
Retain soil while allowing the design water flow under stated soil and hydraulic conditions.
Separation
Limit mixing between subgrade and aggregate layers during construction and service.
Liner protection
Cushion a geomembrane against installation and service puncture risk.
Reinforcement
Use a project tensile requirement and soil interaction basis, commonly with woven products.
QUOTE INPUTS
What We Need to Quote Geotextiles
Send what is available. A drawing, BOQ or existing TDS can replace part of this list; we will identify any missing fields before final pricing.
Send project details- Required function
- PP or PET preference
- Nonwoven or woven
- Unit mass or performance class
- Tensile and puncture methods
- AOS and hydraulic requirement
- Width, length and quantity
- Destination port
PACKING AND DELIVERY
Roll or Panel Planning Belongs in the Specification
Confirm unit dimensions, unit weight, core or pallet, wrapping, labels, lifting method, container type, loading quantity and destination. Fixed container quantities are not published because they change by configuration.
GENERAL INSTALLATION NOTES
Installation Scope Is Confirmed Separately
Confirm roll direction, overlaps or seams, damage repair, exposure limits and cover placement. A geotextile must stay in contact with the intended soil or adjacent layer without folds or contamination. General guidance is available. Site support is confirmed separately.
FAQ
Common Procurement Questions
Is a heavier geotextile always stronger?
No. Unit mass alone does not define tensile, puncture, opening size or hydraulic behavior. Compare the required test values.
Should we use woven or nonwoven?
Use the project function and test requirements. Nonwoven products commonly serve filtration and protection. Woven products are often reviewed for separation and reinforcement.
Can you match an existing TDS?
Send the TDS and identify which values are mandatory. We will return confirmed matches and deviations before quotation.
How should the roll size be selected?
Balance installation access, overlap loss, lifting method, container plan and the final product mass.
